WTF, there’s a game coming out on the Wii where you can be a scorpion or a fucking spider? What the hell is THQ smoking, who would want to play this game?? I just watched a video of the gameplay and not only is it really fucking creepy, but it looks boring. I don’t care if they did get Dennis Hopper to play one of two humans that are actually in it, I’m not playing this weird-ass creepy game! Arachnophobes beware!

A besieged governor who makes a contested Senate appointment had better have strong allies, the yes men necessary to dot every “i” and triplicate the paperwork, or he’s going to run into trouble. Gov. Rod Blagojevich just found this out the hard way, having a dearth of allies who aren’t pushed to the point of ridiculousness by self-aggrandizing agendas. Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White, unswayed by Blago enabler Rep. Bobby Rush’s* playing of the race card with all the finesse of a berserker, refused to sign the paperwork that constitutes the credentials that would have lent some legitimacy to Roland Burris’ claim that he is his state’s newest senator. White’s stand was just the sort of shocking propriety that made it remarkably easy for the Democratic Senate to turn Burris away at the door.
Blago’s latest “fuck ‘em” is now wounded, though not mortally: Mr. Burris, whose opinion of himself is so high that he named his children Roland, Jr. and Rolanda, and whose yet-unfilled mausoleum is a paean to his own greatness, won’t be giving up without a lawsuit. In the meantime, the great embarrassment of the Land of Lincoln awaits indictment, with no plans to vacate his post. He must really be attached to the library in the governor’s mansion.
*Rush, it should be noted, may harbor a grudge against president-elect Barack Obama for unsuccessfully challenging his seat in the House of Representatives in 2000, and, following this train of thought to its natural conclusion, has no qualms about kicking sand in his eye every chance he gets.

Not any of the moral gray areas occurring in hot spots around the world, silly! We’re evidently winning the war against Digital Rights Management, or DRM, because Apple just ditched the odious access control technology that made all the major labels look like paranoid fascists. They are, but it really shouldn’t be common knowledge. It destroys consumer confidence.

As Ryan is chewing on tinfoil as a result of his frustration and anger toward the state of Israel for their recent and present activities in the Gaza Strip, KK4 has volunteered to offer his own assessment of the current situation.
Emotionalism and indignation are easily evoked when discussing the issue of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. As I am not one for penis fencing or willing to engage in hours of discussion on the legitimacy of land claims, tacitcs or religious dogma, my assessment of the current situation will simply deal with the realities while not making any moral decisions, as they should be made by the reader on an individual basis. To those who may believe this is cowardly, my job is to coldly evaluate tactical situations, not to play favorites. Should I lose my cool, lives will be lost. I do not fuck around.
To put it bluntly, Israel has lost. Israel does not have the capacity to sustain the conflict between the Israeli state and the Palestinian people indefinatley. Israel has lost the demographic game. The Palestinians will simply overwhelm them with numbers as they have a higher population growth rate; 3.422% in Gaza and 2.25% in the West Bank versus Israel’s population growth rate of 1.713%. In addition, the Palestinians have a much younger population than Israel. According to the CIA World fact book, in the Gaza Strip children age 14 and below account for 44.7% of the population of about 1.5 million. In a few years they will come to military service age; Israel simply cannot sustain its population, nor its military force, and they are keenly aware of it.

Why couldn’t The Man get out of the way and allow two consenting children, aged five and six, as well as the bride-to-be’s slightly older sister to steal away in the middle of the night, go to Africa (”Where it is warm”) and get married?
